Venusil HLP C18 column is a kind of reversed-phase column based on Bonna-Agela's amide embedded technology.
The stationary phase is made from ultra pure spherical silica particles bonded with alkyl chain molecules and embedded amide polar group which literally capped the silica's residual silanols to prevent their interaction with highly basic compounds. This special chemical bonding group changes the retention mechanism, and provides a benefit that there is no need to adjust the pH to restrain the ionization and ensure a good retention of basic compounds. It could be used for multi-analytes separation, and also have a more robust chemical bonding and provide better lifetime.
